Art and Edge: Where Vulnerability Meets Command, and Presence Meets Power

Cover Story: The Modern Muse

The cover embodies a modern muse who exists between worlds — where art meets edge, and vulnerability meets command.

Golden leaf traces her face like a second skin — a symbol of both opulence and resilience. She reflects a feminine force shaped by softness and strength, carrying the quiet power of the sea and the refinement of celestial gold.

Her gaze is not an invitation. It is a statement.

This is not beauty created for admiration — but beauty as authority, evolution, and self-possession.

Behind the Image: An Exclusive Interview

1. This cover feels powerful and elemental — what was the original concept behind the shoot, and how did the idea evolve from mood board to final image?

It began as a vision of a woman as a celestial being — almost mythical, slightly unattainable. As the concept evolved, it came to symbolise something deeper: abundance as a birthright.

She became a goddess — radiating an ever-present sense of opulence. Whether she exists in a celestial realm or here on earth is left to the imagination of the viewer.

2. The gold detailing is striking. How was the makeup created?

This is entirely real work — not AI. It required hours of preparation, patience, and precision.

Small pieces of gold-like material were individually applied to the skin, following the photographer’s vision. This type of makeup demands both discipline and imagination — patience is essential, and creativity is the driving force.

3. The water element adds movement and raw emotion. How was it captured?

The shoot took place in a swimming pool — the splash is completely real.

Maintaining sharpness required absolute focus, especially as the water wasn’t particularly warm (laughs). Every movement had to be intentional to preserve both the energy and the clarity of the image.

4. Was this shot in a studio or on location?

The shoot took place on location in Tuscany, Italy, at the exquisite Castello di Monastero — a quiet luxury retreat known within the fashion world. Even Anna Wintour has hosted events there.

The setting was chosen by the photographer, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Surrounded by nature, with breathtaking light and warm Italian hospitality, the environment naturally elevated the mood of the shoot.

As she puts it: “When you feel good, you look good.”

5. What were the biggest technical challenges?

The main challenge was working in water while wearing intricate, glued-on makeup.

Every movement had to be controlled to prevent the gold elements from washing away. At the same time, maintaining a natural, fluid expression was essential.

“Modelling isn’t always what it seems,” she laughs. “It can be physically and mentally demanding — but I love it.”

6. Just as gold is refined by fire, what qualities has your own journey shaped?

Elegance.
Composure.
Quiet confidence.
Self-trust.

And a deep connection to Source — what some may call God.

7. What ignites your soul when no one is watching?

“It’s my own beauty — but not in a conceited way,” she reflects.

“It’s about what I can create with it. I’m drawn to exploring it, transforming it, and pushing it further through creativity, intention, and expression.”

It becomes something alive — a language she uses to express herself freely and authentically.
